1. Data controller
SoundCanvas is published by William Villion, an individual developer based in France. Contact: support@soundcanva.com.
2. Data we collect
None. The app does not create an account, does not ask for an email address, and does not send any information to us or to a third party.
3. Data stored on your device
The app saves the following locally, inside its own sandbox: your drawings and their names, the dates they were created or modified, and the musical settings (key, scale, octave, tempo, rhythm layers). This data is never transmitted. It is removed when you delete the app.
4. What the app does not access
- No name, email address, phone number or contacts
- No location, microphone, camera or photo library
- No advertising identifier, no tracking across apps or websites
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party SDK
5. Sharing
When you export a video, an image or an audio file, the file is written to temporary storage on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is entirely your choice. The app itself uploads nothing.
6. Purchases
SoundCanvas is sold once on the App Store. Payment, receipts and refunds are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We receive no personal data from that transaction — only anonymous, aggregated sales totals from Apple's own reports.
7. Legal bases
Because we do not process personal data, there is no processing to rely on a legal basis for. Local storage on your device exists solely to make the app work for you.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection regarding personal data. Since we hold none, there is nothing for us to export or erase on our side. Deleting the app deletes everything the app stored. You can still write to us at support@soundcanva.com and we will answer within one month.
9. Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children under 13. It contains no advertising and no user-generated content sharing inside the app.
10. International transfers
None. No data leaves your device, so there is no transfer to another country.
11. Security
Your drawings are protected by iOS app sandboxing and, if you enable it, by your device passcode and encryption. Because nothing is stored online, there is no server to breach.
12. Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
