Terms of Use
Last updated 20 October 2026
These terms govern your use of the SoundCanvas iOS application. By downloading or using the app you accept them. Where Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies, it takes precedence over anything below.
1. The service
SoundCanvas turns drawings into music on your device. It runs entirely offline: no account is created, no data is uploaded, and no server is involved in playback, saving or exporting.
2. Licence
You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices associated with your Apple Account, as permitted by the App Store terms. The app is licensed, not sold.
3. Price and purchases
- SoundCanvas is a paid app, bought once. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase.
- Payment, receipts and refunds are handled by Apple. Refund requests go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Reinstalling the app with the same Apple Account does not charge you again.
4. Your content
You keep all rights in the drawings you make and in the videos, images and audio you export. We claim no licence over them, because we never receive them.
5. Acceptable use
Do not redistribute, resell, decompile or attempt to extract the app's source code except where such restriction is prohibited by law. Do not use the app to create content that infringes the rights of others.
6. Availability and changes
We may release updates that change or remove features. We aim to keep the app working on supported iOS versions, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data stored on your device. Because drawings are stored locally, we recommend keeping an iPhone backup.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
