Drawings you can listen to.
Draw a line, press play, and it becomes music. Height is pitch. Left to right is time. Colour is the instrument — eighteen of them.
Three rules, nothing to learn.
If you can draw a line, you can play this instrument. There is no notation, no keyboard, and nothing to configure before it sounds good.
Height is pitch
High on the canvas is a high note, low is a low note. The line you draw becomes the melody.
Left to right is time
A playhead reads your drawing like a score. Everything lands on the beat, so it never stumbles.
Colour is the instrument
Each colour is a different voice. Draw two colours in one place and you get a chord.
Eighteen voices, one gesture.
Every timbre is synthesised on the device — no samples to download, no latency, no internet required.

Questions
Do I need to know music theory?
No. Every note is placed on a scale for you, so anything you draw stays in key. You can change the key or the scale afterwards if you want a different mood.
Is there a subscription?
No. SoundCanvas is bought once on the App Store for $1.99. There are no in-app purchases, no ads, and the video export is free.
Does it work offline?
Completely. The synth runs on the device, drawings are stored on the device, and the app never contacts a server.
Can I use my drawing outside the app?
Yes — export a vertical video, a still image, or the audio on its own, then share it with the iOS share sheet.
